Fr. Claude is the director of the Spiritual Life Center and the adviser to the Catholic community at Bentley College. He lives in Brighton at the Assumptionist Center with 10 other members of his Congregation. Fr. Claude has served in Quebec, New York City, Mexico City, and at Assumption College. He listens to classical music and jazz, likes foreign and "off-beat" films, and can sometimes be spotted wearing weird hats. For more information on Fr. Claude, just ask him. Father Erps is beginning his eighth year as Director of Campus Ministry at Boston College. He is a native of Los Angeles and received his Jesuit training on the West Coast. He served as campus minister at Loyola Marymount University and Catholic Chaplain at Stanford before coming to BC. He works with the residential community of BC as a Resident Minister in Fenwick Hall on upper campus. His pastoral interests include liturgy and small faith communities. He is living proof that an LA person can survive New England winters!

Greg Carpinello - Contact
Greg received his undergraduate degree in English and Peace Studies from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and a Masters Degree from BC’s Institute for Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry. Prior to his position at BC, Greg worked for four years as a retreat coordinator at Xavier shortly after graduating from there. Other stops along the way have included time at a Jesuit retreat center in Ohio and at BC High in Boston. Greg works with the Kairos retreat program.

A native of New Orleans, LA, Meyer moved to the Northeast in August 1983 to teach music at the Darrow School in New Lebanon, NY. An undergraduate degree in music education and a graduate degree in secondary education were earned from Xavier University of Louisiana, the only Black Catholic University in the United States. In 1993, Mr. Chambers earned a Master of Liturgical Music Degree from The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music of The Catholic University of America. Meyer Chambers served as Director of the Office for Black Catholics of the Archdiocese of Boston from October 1991 to June 2003. On July 1, 2003, Meyer was appointed Campus Minister for Liturgical Arts (LAG) at Boston College.

Christine Cichello - Contact
Christine received a BA in Math and Philosophy from BC in 1982 and an MA in Philosophy in 1989. She also studied at Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge. Christine has taught Math, Philosophy and Religion at the high school and college levels, including three years in Kingston, Jamaica with BC’s former Jesuit International Volunteer Program. Christine has organized and led many family retreats through the Paulist Center and Camp Koinonia in New York. She lives in Milton, MA with her husband and three children. Christine is the Campus Minister for the Peer Ministry and CURA programs.

JoJo has been part of the BC community since 1995 as a vocal ensemble director, voice teacher, and music minister. An award winning performer and composer of both Sacred and secular music, JoJo has recorded and published through GIA Music, Augsburg Fortress Publications, Primarily A Cappella, and Arrhae Press Music. Originally from Colorado, JoJo has a BA in Music from the University of Colorado at Boulder. An alumnus of the Berklee College of Music, he also earned a Master's in Music with Honors from the New England Conservatory, with a concentration in Jazz Studies and Music Education. In addition to his work in Campus Ministry, JoJo is also the Vocal Director of BC’s jazz ensemble, BC bOp!, and he serves as Music Director at Sacred Heart Church in Newton Centre. A cancer survivor, JoJo celebrates the journey with his wife and daughter in Natick, MA.

Tammy Liddell has been at Boston College since 2000. She works closely with Appalachia Volunteers, Loyola Volunteers and helps with retreats, liturgy and other programs. Fr. Don is a Boston native, graduate of BC High, BC '66 and BC '72 ---three times an Eagle!---who came to Campus Ministry in 1995 after twenty-four years as a teacher and administrator at three Jesuit high schools. In addition to counseling, some retreat work and Sunday liturgies, he coordinates the Urban Immersion program, the Arrupe Immersion program in Cuernavaca, Mexico and the Ignatian Family Teach-In/School of Americas Vigil. He is Advisor to the Bands Program and a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management Coordinating Committee.

Ellen is a native of the Boston area and a graduate of Boston College, having received her BA in Elementary and Special Education in ’82 and her M. Ed in Early Childhood Education in ’86. She worked in the early child care field for over 20 years, along with 10 years of part-time work at St. Ignatius Parish, before returning to Boston College as the Campus Minister for Liturgy. In addition to her work in liturgy, Ellen is the moderator for 4Boston and a Resident Minister in 66 Comm Ave.

Fr. Tony Penna has been at Boston College since 1991. Before coming to Boston College, he was a chaplain at the College of the Hoy Cross in Worcester, MA, and earlier, at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, MA. Being a graduate of Boston College, Fr. Tony feels that in a timely way he has come home to the Jesuit tradition that was so instrumental in shaping his own spirituality and vocation during his undergraduate years. Aware of the impact Boston College and its Ignatian spirituality has had on his life, Fr. Tony sees every day at Boston College as an opportunity to express this indebtedness by “paying it forward” in a sense. He hopes that his ministry, in conjunction with the much good work done by colleagues throughout the university, may do for some student what was so generously and effectively done for him during his undergraduate years at the Heights.

Rick Rossi graduated from Holy Cross College in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree in English. Inspired by the formative experiences he had at Holy Cross with retreats, service and immersion trips, and spiritual direction, he completed his Master's Degree in Pastoral Ministry from BC's Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry in 1998. After teaching high school for a few years and working at Stonehill College, Rick began here at BC in Campus Ministry in 2002. Rick is the Campus Minister for Salt & Light, Ignatian Formation Retreats, and Agape Latte. He lives with his wife and two children in Natick, MA.

Kelly Sardon Garrity directs the Pedro Arrupe, S.J. International Solidarity Program - the Campus Ministry program sponsoring international immersion trips. Previously he studied in St. Louis at Washington University and did his graduate work focusing on social and economic development and business. Kelly also worked with the Newman Community at WashU, directing their social justice and community service program and led immersion trips.

Sister Olga Yaqob - Contact
Sister Olga of the Eucharist perpetually professed as a diocese hermit, was born and raised in Iraq. She came to the United States in 2001 for her studies. She has a BS in Biology and Hematology from Arbil University in Iraq, a BA in Philosophy and Theology from Babylon College that is affiliated with Urbaniana University in Rome, and has studied Islamic Science. In Iraq she was involved in pastoral ministry for the college students and youth in parishes throughout Iraq. She also served the prisoners, homeless, elderly, and handicapped of war for many years. Since 2002 she has been involved in the campus ministry of the Catholic Church at Boston University. In summer 2005 she finished her Master's degree in Spirituality and Ministry at Boston College.

Br. Sam Gunn was born in Boston and grew up in Rhode Island. He graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1986 with a BFA in Communication Design and worked as a commercial artist in New York City. In 1990 Br. Sam answered a call to pursue a vocation to religious brotherhood in a new community, the Brotherhood of Hope. Br. Sam has worked in campus ministry for 14 years, and recently took two years off to earn a Masters in Ministry from St. John's Seminary in Brighton. He now serves on staff at the Catholic Center.

Jen Roy is the Campus Minister for Retreats, Spirituality, and Prayer. Jen has served both as the Chaplain to the Catholic Community next door at Simmons College and as Parish Operations Manager for St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Roxbury for the last three years. Jen moved to Boston to do a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps coming from California where she was the Coordinator of Programming and Leadership Development for Residence Life at California State University, Chico. Jen has a master's degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University and a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Puget Sound. Jen also received her certification in Spiritual Direction from the Center for Religious Development, originally through the Weston School of Theology, now the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry.

Rev. Robert J. Congdon, Pastor - Contact
Fr. Congdon was appointed Pastor at St. Paul Parish and Senior Chaplain at the Harvard Catholic Chaplaincy as of August 1, 2007. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Boston in 1987. After having completed his philosophy degree at St. John's Seminary College in Brighton, he was sent to Rome to study theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Athenaeum Saint Anselm. He received his doctorate in Sacred Theology at the Gregorian University in 1997. Fr. Congdon has served in several parishes in the Archdiocese as parochial vicar, team minister, and pastor. As a faculty member of St. John's Seminary, he taught Sacramental Theology and Foreign Languages from 1997 to 2004. He is currently a member of the North American Academy of Liturgy.

Although he began graduate school at Yale in molecular biophysics, Fr. Salzmann completed the Ph.D. at Harvard Medical School in biochemistry, during which time he was in residence at St. Paul's, serving on Sundays at St. Catherine's, Norwood. In between those periods, he was sent to study theology at the Gregorian University, Rome, receiving the S.T.B. and S.T.L degrees in theology, and had the good fortune to be ordained there in John Henry Cardinal Newman's church of St. George's at the Velabrum. After a brief period of research in early mammalian development at Hoffman-la Roche in northern New Jersey, he was appointed Visting Fellow in Molecular Biology at Princeton University, where he worked on the tumor suppressor gene, p53, and also taught bioethics in the religion department there. During his time at Princeton he served at St. Paul's, the university Catholic parish. He is a member of the teaching order, the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. He serves as chaplain to the Harvard graduate and professional schools.

Rev. William F. Murphy, Undergraduate Chaplain - Contact
Ordained in 1988 for the Archdiocese of Boston, Fr. Murphy arrived at St. Paul's in 2004, after assignments as a spiritual director to seminarians, with clergy personnel, and in parishes. As part of his ministry in the seminary he studied at Creighton University and received a Master's degree in Christian Spirituality in 2003. Growing in Christian discipleship is what motivates Fr. Murphy, whether in service to the Harvard undergraduates, St. Paul's parish, or life with colleagues, family, or friends. To quote Calvin of the "Calvin and Hobbes" comic strip, "There's treasure everywhere!" Fr. Murphy is grateful to be living and working in a community as vibrant as St. Paul's.

Marie-Claude Thompson received her Master of Divinity from the Jesuit Weston School of Theology in 1985. She became part-time staff at the Catholic Student Center in September of 1985 as a chaplain for the Earthen Vessels Tutoring Program she created. The Program matches Harvard undergraduate and graduate students with inner-city youth in one-on-one tutoring-mentoring relationships. As a chaplain her work with the 45 students involved with the program includes formation both practical and spiritual, through weekly meetings, retreats (on issues of peace and justice in the light of faith, the social teaching of the Church, and the discovery of life in the inner-city); individual supervision; and spiritual guidance for the students involved in the program.

Sr. Nancy Corcoran was raised in Boston and attended Regis College, after which she joined the Lay Apostolate Movement and taught both primary and junior high students on a sugar plantation in Waipahu, Hawaii.
